This weekend I got to go to Gibbeadle camp because my grandma and Auntie Cecile came to visit, which meant that Tristan and I were kicked out of our beds, so we decided to go to Gibbeadle camp for the weekend and spend Friday and Saturday night at their house. I got to see babybel, watch the 3rd Mummy movie, and visit with Katherine, Lauren's friend! Tristan got to play video games of course! Oooh!! And on Saturday morning, Katherine made gourmet pancakes that tasted amazing!!! Deanne and Ava came over in the morning. Tristan and I had to leave by 10:30 because we were going to see TC, my cousin from the other side of the fam, play baseball against Cal State East Bay. He was home from college in Oregon! They won!! yay!! But it was a bit chilly. Then my dad dropped me off at Auntie Sarah's house where I saw Ava and Deanne again. Deanne went to go to the mall while I watched Ava for about 5 minutes until Auntie and Uncle came home! I discovered that Auntie had Froot Loops! So I ate a bowl of dry Froot Loops and then Auntie informed me that she had Cocoa Crispies, which are my absolute FAVORITE!!! Because it is Auntie's house, we can watch cable tv and eat anything we want, including Cocoa Crispies!!! (FYI: my mother doesn't allow my brother and I to have sugar cereal. Only Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Auntie buys us Cocoa Crispies and Froot Loops (Tristan's favorite) for our birthdays because she knows mommy will do no such thing! THANKS AUNTIE!!) Soon people started arriving...then party time! Deanne straightened my hair and Grandma said she didn't like it...oh well. We ate yummy food that Uncle cooked and visited. Then after Mommy drove me home and I got my clothes ready for Gibbeadle camp day #2, or I guess night, #2! This time, instead of watching a movie, Beadle and Tristan played video games while I held the baby. Watching a baby sleep and not going to bed until around maybe 1 something the night before makes me sleeeeeeppppy!!! I fell asleep holding Babybel until Lauren woke me up and took her away. Beadle and Tristan continued to play video games. Then I woke up and we sadly went home. I spent the rest of the boring day doing homework and listening to the Across the Universe soundtrack which is very addicting and I happen to be listening to it right now!!! "Happiness is a warm gunnnnn!!!!" ay yi yi! I've been listening to it for a week! Gets stuck in your head, that. That's how Auntie Susan talks, bringing back her British accent easily. Funny, that is! Anyways, got to go now.

Technology Blog for 2/17
Yesterday I woke up and went on Facebook again for about 5 minutes. When I got home I used my ipod for about 15 minutes until it died. Then I went on my computer to listen to itunes because my ipod died. I went on facebook and checked my grades. I was on the computer for about 3 hrs. I was asking people for help with physics homework on facebook since I had no clue how to solve some problems. I also tried to get into my University of Virginia account to see if I was accepted, but when I finally got into it, there was nothing. I used my phone for only about 5 minutes to call my mom and dad and Georgia. So far, all my blogs have pretty much been the same. I do the same thing every day and for pretty much the same amount of time.

Technology Blog for 2/13
On Friday I didn't even have time to go on the computer in the morning because I had to finish reading Anna Karenina for English class. All day I didn't use any technology. When I got home from school I listened to my voicemail messages that lasted about 1 minute each. It was my mom telling me that my friend and her family wanted to leave as soon as possible for Tahoe and that I needed to pack since I hadn't. So I had 30 minutes to pack. I called my mom a couple times which lasted for about 5 minutes all together. Then it was off to Tahoe. In the car I sent and received around 10 text messages. I talked to my mom a couple times to give her updates on the weather and traffic since my family was going up to Tahoe a little later. And I talked to Alex on the phone for about 5 minutes. We finally got up to Tahoe around 4 hours later and I called my mom to tell her we made it safely there. And that was all. Throughout the whole weekend we had no Internet and barely any cell phone service. I have no idea how I survived.

Technology Blog for 2/12
So I didn't have time on Friday to write this blog thing for computers class because I had to speed pack because we were going up to Tahoe. Then up at the cabin there is absolutely no Internet, so i couldn't write about what I did on Thursday the 12th, so here it is. I woke up and went on Facebook as usual. Then it was off to school! I didn't use any texts. and I only went on the Internet a couple times that afternoon. The reason was that I needed to finish reading the 100 pages a week of Anna Karenina for English class. I only used the phone for a total of 5 minutes. I used my ipod when I went running. That was probably like 15 minutes or less. It was a short run. And that was Thursday.

Technology Blog for 2/11
Yesterday was my half birthday. (Just throwing that in there) I used the computer again for an insane amount of time. In the morning, I woke up, got my plain cheerios, and went on Facebook. When I got home from school, I did the same thing as on Tuesday: Went on Facebook, talked to friends, got homework help from friends, specifically Calculus homework help, looked at more dresses, checked my grades, checked the homework on Mr. Jossis' web page, found out that I was about to study super duper hard for a test that had been postponed to next Tuesday, good thing I caught that!, and wrote on this blog thing. I used Itunes again on it while doing homework. I only used the phone for five minutes to tell my mom and dad that I was at Lauren's house hanging out with her and the baby. I didn't use my ipod because I didn't go jogging...I should have, but I'm going to blame the rainy weather. So, all in all, I spent most of my time on the computer. I was on Facebook, but I was doing homework while on Facebook, so I had a good reason. And that is all. The End for now...
Technology Blog for 2/10
Two days ago, I used the computer for an insane amount of time. Probably a bit over 5 hours. I start my day going on the Internet, checking Facebook, my email, and my grades. Then, later when I got home from school I used Itunes on my computer while doing my homework. I used the Internet to go on Facebook to talk with my friends/ask for homework help. I was also looking for a white graduation dress while doing all the other things. This just proves that girls can do some major multitasking! I used my Ipod for only 10 minutes, but then left my room to use the Internet on my computer. (I had to leave my room because there is a "no Internet in my room" rule I must follow. I used my phone three times all under a minute to talk to Georgia, Alex and my mother dearest.
Intro to Technology Journal
For the past three days I have kept a technology journal, recording all of my technology use including the phone, my ipod, the computer, and video games (I don't have video games, so it doesn't apply) I realized that lately I haven't been using the phone as much as I usually do, but ever since I bought my new laptop, I must admit I've spent a lot of time on it, but the thing is, is that while I'm on the computer I'm also doing my homework and listening to itunes. I spend an absurd amount of time on the computer and I must start limiting myself. I've only used my ipod once during this technology journal experiment. This is my introduction to my technology blog thing.

Change is good
There are all these gorgeous dresses at BCBGMaxazria, but they are much to expensive for me. Plus none of them are white and I need a white dress for graduation, which I think is silly. We'll all be in white dresses and white shoes. White shoes??? Ay yi yi! I really don't think I'll ever wear the white shoes I bought ever again! ever! I would much rather have a blue dress! or black heels! oh well. It is waaaaaay too late to be on this blog thing. Tomorrow we get out of school at 1!! It's also my half birthday! 17 1/2! YES! Almost 18! Almost graduation! Almost time for college! Lots of change that will be overwhelming. Ok, I can do it! "Change is good" my dad says. Change is good...

Anna Karenina
I am about to go pick Cass up from the BART station and we're going to get ice cream, but that's at 4:15 so I have a little bit of time on my hands! Today all the seniors got a "talking to" because some of the girls at school put up a video of them dancing a little bit inappropriately...I suppose. That was the drama of the day. The good part was that we used up 10 minutes of class time to receive this "talking to". Oh also, we got the social hall taken away from us for a while...luckily that is not where I eat lunch! I'm actually super excited about this 800 page book we're reading for English class, Anna Karenina. HEY! There's no underline button! Ms. Barnett, my English teacher, would not be happy about leaving the title of a book by itself with no underline! *sigh* Oh well. Anyways. This book is filled with drama about love affairs and love triangles! If Ms. Barnett hadn't said that her previous students had said that the book was like a soap opera I would never have thought about it that way...but now that's the only way I can think to describe this book! Like a soap opera! So dramatic...Brenda cleverly brought up in class that an event that we just read might foreshadow the events to come in the next 600 pages of drama! We're still only in the 200s. Brenda and I started to discuss what we each thought might happen later...but we ended up in a friendly argument! haha! We'll see what happens as we read! It's about time to pick up Cass now! Yay for freedom!
Thursday, February 5, 2009
Today is February 5th, 2009 which means I have been driving with my license for officially one year!! Which means....I CAN DRIVE PEOPLE UNDER THE AGE OF 20!!!! YAY!! So tomorrow I am going to drive down to BART and pick up Cass (who is 17 and is under the age of 20 mwahaha!) and we are going to eatt ice cream for dinner and celebrate freedom. I want to take a road trip! Where should I go?
Oh Thursdays...
I really should run today, but it's hard to be motivated when it's raining and Thursdays are always a bit sluggish. It's not quite Friday, so I know that I still have one more day of school before the weekend, which makes the day even more...what's a word for it...dull. I suppose I can look forward to what's to come this weekend. I get to see Cass and Georgia and Lauren and Beadle and the baby of course! Oooh!! And Deanne is coming too!! Busy busy! I really never do so much on the weekend. I just hang around and catch up on the tv that I've missed during the week because there's the "no tv during the week rule" that I must follow. Then of course there's usually babysitting Ryan and Reagan, my three year old twin neighbors, on Saturdays. Sundays consist of putting off doing homework until it becomes absolutely necessary to start and then I must mentally prepare myself for school the day after. So, I will be glad to see so many people this weekend! This thought and the sun coming out has motivated me a bit to go running...so I think I will, but only because it has become part of the routine and I must not stray away from the routine!

My Second Fam Bam
Went running with Hannah!! My neighbor/sister from another mother!! Hannah's fam bam is like my 2nd family! I've known her since I was 7 and she was 6, so yah. She's also my new running partner! Yay! Now I won't be alone and bored and she can tell me all about school and how she has absolutely no homework which I am completely envious of her because I would LOVE to have no homework...ahhhh that would be lovely...I'll admit I would be utterly bored out of my mind...and yet...I don't think I would mind all! Thanks to Hannah Banana for running with me today! Oh and by the way...Tristan got his braces off!! Nice white straight teeth...maybe now he'll smile more for pictures instead of putting his hand in the way of the camera and getting his fingerprints all over the lens...
Pencil Fu
Today was interesting...I guess...I learned how to do this pencil trick w/my fingers, taught by my friend Victoria (she's from Singapore!!) I call these tricks Pencil Fu. I have become a master @ Pencil Fu and it is awesome!! We also had a fire drill and I think I showed a little too much enthusiasm when accidentally shouted "YES!!" when I heard the bell go off in Economics class...don't think Ms. Spengeman appreciated that too much. When I got home, there was a letter from UC Riverside saying Congratulations on the front...so I'm officially accepted there...so far 2 out of the 3 that wrote back to me have accepted me...Georgetown hasn't rejected me...yet..they just deferred me. I don't know if I will actually consider UC Riverside, but I must say that their marketing skills are pretty darn good because when you open up the folder whatsit that the letter is attached to, it's totally a pop-up book type thing that tells you all the information you need to know about it. Pretty clever, those people are. Spanish test tomorrow, so I mustn't spend too much time on this thing...I guess this blog thing is OK...so thanks to Mr. Jossis who forced (ok not forced) me to get it because I might...just might...be enjoying it...maybe...ok fine I am! One more thing...I didn't no that mustn't was spelled that way...it's quite weird, the spelling of that word...hmmmm...

Must Remind Myself
So I'm sitting here with a towel on my head after a nice hot shower reminding myself that jogging is good for my body. It will make me healthier and feel more awake and increase my stamina and all that, but it's very hard to enjoy it when my stomach hurts like crazy and instead of my surgery knee hurting...it's my calf muscle that is crying out! My whole body feels exhausted, but this pain is not going to stop me from jogging every day! I never liked jogging, I always thought it was boring and that running while playing sports was way more fun. Due to my bad knee, playing sports is not an option right now, so jogging is all I have...and I am going to appreciate it because just being able to walk is a blessing! I took things like walking for granted before I had surgery. I learned (while recovering) that things like being able to get off my bed in 2 seconds is something that I should appreciate being able to do because during the weeks after surgery it was a 15 minute painful process of getting off my bed, (with help from my family members. thank you so much!) grabbing my crutches, and hobbling just to go to the bathroom, which is about 15-20 steps away from my room. Now that I can walk and have gotten the OK from the knee doc that I can run again, no more am I going to say in my mind "hmmmm...I don't feel like jogging today" and then put it off until it's too late.
Hmmmmm...
Maybe this won't be so bad...it's almost like facebook except I get to write more...where everyone will see...hmmm...that's interesting. I don't really have anything to say...except right now I should be jogging instead of being on the computer.
So I Got This Blog 4 School
So I got this blog for school b/c Mr. Jossis insisted upon making us get one. Now I'm going to be on this blog thing almost as much as I am on facebook!! AND all my time, time that I could be using to study, will be committed to writing this blog!! Thank you Mr. Jossis! I blame u if my grades fail! Which they won't because I'm going 2 practic self control...yes!! self control...we'll c how that goes...
